Rex Ryan and Bills to attend Jim Kelly’s golf tournament in place of OTA
According to ESPN staff writer Mike Rodak, some Buffalo Bills players and Rex Ryan will be attending Jim Kelly’s annual charity golf tournament. This team outing will count as one of the their 10 allotted OTAs and their fourth so far.
The announcement, that Rex Ryan and Bills players would be attending, was made by Jim himself at Sunday evening’s annual charity gala event held in Buffalo. Unfortunately, Kelly was unable to attend last year’s festivities while he was battling cancer but he had this to say last night,
“Thank the Good Lord for allowing me to be here today. I look around and just all the people. … You can’t spend an hour with each individual, but it’s so good to see my friends and see people I haven’t seen in over a year, because I was not here last year at this time.”
The Hall of Fame and former Bills quarterback has held this event for the past 29 years which supports his charity that serves disabled and disadvantaged youth in western New York, Kelly For Kids Foundation. The golf outing will be held in Batavia, NY and the forecast calls for temperatures in the upper 40’s with the possibility of rain.
