RGIII’s Agent tells the Colts No to a private workout

The quest to be the number one overall pick is still a tight race. Some experts have the Colts taking Stanford’s Andrew Luck, while some have the new face of the franchise coming from Baylor in Robert Griffin the third.

But things may have just changed. A tweet sent out by Jim Irsay this morning indicates that the Colts are bringing in Andrew Luck for a formal private workout this morning. Irsay also said that they tried getting RGIII to come hold a workout, but his agent denied them.

A move that is risky considering the Colts are having strong thoughts of taking RGIII with the number one overall draft selection, this move could have been the kicker for them not to take him. Griffin has said in the past that he’s going to do everything in his power to be the first pick overall because he thinks he can be, this move will be a struggle for the Colts to get over.

Griffin has already been to several events in the Washington DC area signing autographs and being at Redskins sponosored events, so maybe that is the reason why he denied. Still pretty risky if you ask me.
