Richie Incognito’s Lawyer Releases More Text Messages
The Miami soap opera continues. The lawyer of Dolphins offensive guard Richie Incognito released more text messages from offensive tackle Jonathan Martin. It is alleged from Martin that Incognito bullied him.
The following text messages sent and received between the two players were released to CBS’ Miami television affiliate.
Martin: “Ima egg your house & light a bag of s*** on fire then ring your doorbell.”
Incognito: “I’m going to shoot you and claim self defense. I’m white ur black I’ll walk.”
Martin: “I’m gonna give McDonald bath salts and lock him in your house with a tranquilizer gun & a box of sand paper condoms.”
Incognito: “F*** you!!!”
Martin: Photo with caption that read: “I will murder your whole f***ing family.”
Incognito: “Thanks dude. It’s unbelievable all the atention this is getting. All that’s important is that you feel better and know we miss u dude.”
Martin: “Yeah I’m good man. It’s insane bro but just know I don’t blame you guys at all it’s just the culture around the football and the locker room got to me a litte. Btw…never check yourself into a mental hospital.”
Incognito: “I hear ya It’s a lot to take in I’ve checked myself in before I had to threaten to beat everyone up for them to let me out. Not fun.”
Martin: “Yeah bro it was the worst. I almost snapped and started breaking s***.”
Incognito: Texted a picture of an article from ESPN.com titled, “Sources: NFLPA Eyes Martin Case.”
Incognito: “What’s p with this?”
Martin: “I got nothing to do with it man I haven’t said anything to anyone.”
Incognito: “I heard it’s all coming Ur agent?”
Incognito: “I need you buddy I’m getting killed in the media.”
Incognito: “Bro can we talk? The dolphins are talking about releasing me.”
Dolphins owner Stephen Ross said this week that neither player will return to the team.
“It was comments, specific comments of a racial nature, aggressive, sexual comments related to my sister and my mother,” said Martin to NBC’s Tony Dungy concerning his allegations of Incognito bullying him. “I spoke with my teammates, former teammates in other locker rooms, across the NFL and asked if this stuff goes on, is this normal rookie hazing and the consensus was this is not normal.”
It really seemed that at some point, what started out to be just jokes among teammates suddenly crossed a line and became much more than a joke.
