As if there wasn’t enough drama between Mike Shanahan, Robert Griffin III, Daniel Snyder and just about everyone else associated with the Washington Redskins, even more drama is now surfacing in the nation’s capital.

Mike Shanahan recently revealed that he is considering benching Robert Griffin III in an attempt to keep him from taking the beating he’s received this year (5th most sacked QB in the NFL) and playing backup quarterback Kirk Cousins in his place.

Turns out, RGIII knows just as much as the rest of us do about his season’s future.

On Tuesday, NFL Media’s Jeff Darlington reported, via a member of the Redskins organization, Shanahan has still not made his plans at quarterback clear to Griffin. The Washington Post also reported earlier that owner Daniel Snyder will not try to interfere with Shanahan’s decision.

Shanahan is expected to announce his starting quarterback for Week 15 against the Atlanta Falcons later this week. Until then, Griffin could be left in the dark on his status for the remainder of the year.

  • payton, great quaterback, SUPERBOWL? YEA!

  • Brick-hand Sanders from the Steelers? Is Manning a receivers coach now? Manning was on his game. Weren’t the Chargers without their starting corners? Still played great. Broncos defense stuffing the Chargers running game was impressive. That 30 yarder floated in there nice. Is it me or does Peyton’s passes look like a 30 yard bomb? That crap won’t work in the playoffs when Ravens defenders are used to practicing against Flacco who throws 70-yarders.
