Last week the Miami Dolphins worked out former San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Braylon Edwards. Despite not signing a contract in Miami, some were reporting that the Dolphins were still interested in Edwards.

However, he never signed and headed to Seattle instead. Now, apparently Edwards has signed with Seattle.

Dave Mahler of KJR Sports Radio in Seattle is reporting that Edwards will sign with the Seahawks.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter is also reporting that Edwards has signed a one-year deal.

Edwards was the biggest name remaining in free agency. He managed just 15 catches in nine games for the Niners, and didn’t score a touchdown. Jim Harbaugh’s club waived Edwards late in the year, and he went unclaimed.

Edwards’ primary competition will come from Golden Tate, Antonio Bryant, and Ben Obomanu.
