The Seattle Seahawks have made some big moves this offseason. From adding depth to an already ferocious defensive line, to adding playmakers out the wazoo for second-year QB Russell Wilson.

It’s been all good in Seattle as of late, but a bit of bad news may be slowing the team down a bit.

Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll revealed today that wide receiver Percy Harvin may need to get surgery on his hip to repair a partially torn labrum.

That’s definitely not a good sign for the ‘Hawks, who shipped Minnesota several future draft picks in exchange for the former Viking once he passed a physical to finalize the deal.

It was believed that Harvin would be 100 percent going into camp, but it appears that won’t be the case. He’ll be getting a second opinion on the initial report.

“We’re going to take a real good look at it and get second opinions and all that kind of stuff, to do the right thing. It’s really early in camp, we got plenty of time to get this thing worked out, so we’re being very careful.” Carroll said, via

Harvin missed the second half of last season with an ankle injury, and has missed significant time in the past with Migraine headaches. He had participated in all Seahawks activities up to this point.
