Down the Seam: Top 5 Fantasy Football TE’s for Week 9

  • Justin "Arby" Arbogast

It’s that time again. Time for Down the Seam. As always, thanks for checking it out! Let’s go!

5. Antonio Gates – Chargers @ Redskins

Antonio Gates has been terrific this season. Hopefully he continues his run come Sunday when the Chargers face off against the defenseless Redskins. It seems to me this team defends their name more than it does it’s opposition. Gates is a go this weekend and should have a hell of a time against the Skins.

4. Jason Witten – Cowboys vs Vikings

The Vikings get my LOL of the week because the Jaguars are on a bye week. Minnesota has looked horrible, and Tony Romo will shred the defense. Witten is a favorite of Romo and the pair should connect often. He could have a stellar game that catapults him statistically, but I would just count on about 100 yards and a score – which is good enough to land him in this weeks edition.

3. Jordan Cameron – Browns vs. Ravens

CAMERON BACK?! We’ll see, but the Browns offense got moving with Jason Campbell at the helm. Campbell has always had a decent tight end to bail him out of tough situations and now he has Cameron. I feel safe enough to say that he’s a must start this weekend, and he could be as well moving forward.

2. Jimmy Graham – Saints @ Jets

Jimmy Graham played last week against the Bills on crutches and still came out on top. Okay, I’m exaggerating a bit, but he’s a flippin monster. They get the Jets this week, who have a solid secondary, but he’ll get his share of work. He’ll keep adding to the stats and helping Brees get the Saints downfield with ease.

1. Rob Gronkowski – Pats vs. Steelers

Gronkowski had a pedestrian effort last week in what was supposed to be his big return, but we’ve moved that to this week. They play the Steelers who would get the LOL of the week if it weren’t for the Vikings. The Steelers defense has been shredded the last few weeks, and Tom Brady has Pittsburgh’s number. Gronk should be fun to watch this week.
