Seneca Wallace has a point to make.

The former starting quarterback for the Cleveland Browns and Seattle Seahawks was signed by the San Fransisco 49ers on the 19th August 2013.

A week later, on August 29th, he was released.

While he has no bad feelings against the 49ers, he does feel he was used by the team to get his former Browns team mate, Colt McCoy , to take a pay cut.

“I’ve been around this game long enough where I can see what’s going on, and I realized right away the reason they brought me here was to get Colt to take a pay cut,” said Wallace.

Wallace also wants to emphasize that he has not retired after several news sources ran the story that 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh said he had.

“For him to come out and say that, ‘Hey, Seneca’s planning on his retirement’ … I don’t think that’s even 100 percent fair for him to come out and say that because I don’t even know him,” Wallace said. “I think that should be my decision.”
