Stephen Hill Does Jumping Jacks in End Zone While Mark Sanchez Throws Interception
The New York Jets quarterback situation has become a punch line for the rest of the NFL this 2012 season. “Starting” quarterback Mark Sanchez has performed among the worst in the league; per ESPN stats, Sanchez ranks dead last in completion percentage (52%) and 30th in passer rating (70.4) out of a possible 33 quarterbacks. So, it’s no surprise that after Sunday’s game, in which Sanchez committed two turnovers and finished with a passer rating of 40.7, Jets fans might be a little “hot under the collar” with regards to the quarterback situation in New York. Take Steve Hunter (@SportsGeek33), a Jets fan from the UK, who was kind enough to post these pictures of Sanchez’s ineptitude.
In the first picture, you can see wide receiver Stephen Hill jumping up and down in the end zone, wide open, while Sanchez looks right and throws an interception:
Notice Sanchez has no clue that Hill is open, despite what appears to be adequate protection in the pocket. In the below picture, you can see that Sanchez simply loses the football and it was not a strip by the Seahawks defender:
For Jets fans, who are clueless about why head coach Rex Ryan stays with Sanchez , it’s mistakes that this that will put Ryan on the Coaches’ Hot Seat and force backup quarterback Tim Tebow into some playing time.
