It seems apparent that Terrell Owens is having trouble acquiring and keeping a job these days. Owens is $20,000 behind in child support payments. County Judge John Goger was angered when Owens failed to appear at his hearing. Accepting the blame for his absence is Owens Attorney David Hartin, who claims he did not communicate with his client.
Owens reportedly agreed to pay $5,000 a month to Melanie Page Smith, mother of Owens’ 7-year old daughter. Smith claims she has not received payments in months. Goger rescheduled the hearing for Thursday and says that Owens could face jail time if he does not appear.
Smith has filed 3 different claims 3 separate times against the ex wide receiver, who hasn’t played a down of NFL football since 2010. It seems no NFL teams are interested in the 6-time pro-bowler after he suffered a knee injury in his last employed year.
