Tebow pays respect to young fan who lost fight with cancer

Trey Erwin, a 15-year-old Tennessee football player, died of pancreatic cancer Thursday. Erwin, had a conversation with New York Jets’ quarterback Tim Tebow back in March. The chat, left a lasting impact on both of their lives.

Erwin’s story touched an entire region that learned about him after he found out he had six months to live. His diagnosis sparked a “Pray for Trey” social media movement, T-shirts, armbands and a song. New York Jets quarterback Tim Tebow was among those Erwin touched.

Erwin wrote about a conversation with Tebow back in March.
