Vernon Davis: Seahawks are building a Dynasty
The Seattle Seahawks have made some impressive moves this offseason, setting themselves up for high expectations moving forward. With an already stout defense and an explosive offense last season, they went out and added more to each side of the football, and people have taken notice.
Many preseason power rankings and predictions have the Seahawks as one of the powerhouses in the NFC for what Pete Carroll has been able to build in his return to the NFL, even rival players are taking them serious.
49ers tight end Vernon Davis had some interesting things to say about them.
“They’re building a dynasty over there,” Davis told NFL.com’s Jeff Darlington. “These guys are coming to take us out. I respect them, but we want to win, too. We have to … play each game like it’s our last game.”
They have been fun to watch over the last couple of years. The 49ers are coming off of a Super Bowl, and the Seahawks are up-and-coming. If they can get their players off of PED’s, they might actually have a chance to make some serious noise moving forward.
The Seahawks lead the league in PED busts since 2009. Seattle veterans held a meeting earlier this season to get the issue squared away and so far it’s been quiet on that end.
A dynasty might be stretching it a little, but there’s no doubt Seattle will be a very good team.
