Patriots WR Wes Welker Gets a Hair Transplant
Wes Welker is known for his million catches a year, his quickness, his QB and his balding issue. Okay, maybe not so much his balding issue, but nonetheless.
He has so far managed everything just fine with balding, but it apparently bugged him quite a bit. According to Comcast SportsNet New England, the Patriot has undergone a Hair Transplant Technique performed by Dr. Robert Leonard of Leonard Hair Transplant Associates.
The procedure, according to a release announcing the news, “involved transplanting follicles to an area of Welker’s scalp where his hair had started to thin . . . Welker was immediately able to resume his regular activities, including training for the football season and even wearing a helmet.”
Welker’s transplanted follicles will be showing strong within four months. He’ll also be a spokesman for Dr. Leonard.
He didn’t get the extension he wanted from the Patriots, but if all goes well with his recent endeavors he might get the extension he wants on his scalp. We at Down and Distance are hoping that the extra weight won’t slow him down at all!
