Williams, Meachem set to visit Bills tonight

While not a lot of information is available at this time, it is being reported by various news outlets that free agent DE Mario Williams will visit with the Buffalo Bills tonight. The Bills are also scheduled to meet with free agent WR Robert Meachem.

Could this be the face of Buffalo's defensive line?

Williams, a former #1 overall pick in the 2006 NFL draft, is one of the most highly touted free agents on the market, and it’s reported that he’ll demand around $45-50 Million in guaranteed money and around $15 million a year. Williams missed most of the 2011 season due to a torn pectoral muscle, but has 53 career sacks in 6 seasons with the Houston Texans. Williams would be a welcome addition to a pass rush that definitely needs work.

Could Meachem be the deep threat the bills are looking for?

Robert Meachem was also a former first round pick, going 27th overall in the 2007 draft to the New Orleans Saints. Last year, he caught 40 passes for 620 yards and 7 touchdowns. Meachem would be a good combination with recently signed wide receiver Stevie Johnson, and would serve as a deep threat  for Ryan Fitzpatrick. He is also a very affordable player who probably wouldn’t ask for a monumental contract right off the bat.
