Fan arrested for threatening Knicks owner James Dolan on Twitter
The New York Knicks aren’t exactly having the type of season their fans envisioned after a 50+ win campaign and playoff berth in 2013. This fact is apparently too much for one Staten Island fan to handle.
19-year-old Johnny Giamella, who is the son of a New York City police officer, was arrested after tweeting some menacing things about Knicks owner James Dolan.
Via the NY Daily News:
James Dolan, it’s officially time to die,” Giamella, 19, allegedly tweeted. That was followed by the tweet, “Death to James Dolan,” police said. Giamella also posted pictures of himself holding a gun to the camera and a sharp metal object to his neck.
Hey, easy psycho. There’s a fine line between being a disgruntled fan and a total nut job. This guy is certainly walking that line.
The family declined to comment when reached at their home. Giamella was charged with harassment in regards to the tweets.
