Home / Featured / Breaking: Deron Williams expected to return with Nets

With free agency still a few hours away, it is being reported that prized point guard Deron Williams has already decided to return to the Nets next season.

This is via ESPN’s Ric Bucher, who also reported that veteran point guard Jason Kidd will be joining Williams in Brooklyn. This is enormous for the franchise, who desperately needs a superstar to market as they move to their new arena in New York. It had earlier been reported that Williams would be making a decision only between the Brooklyn Nets and the Dallas Mavericks.

Deron Williams looks to be that star. And after recruiting Jason Kidd, who knows what other players might follow D-Will to Brooklyn?

With Brook Lopez and a few young pieces, the team has a chance to make a run with a couple of established veteran players.

With Chris Paul and Dwight Howard opting in for this season, Williams is the most coveted player on the free agent market. However, it now looks that he is off the market and is returning to be a Net.
