Jagr passes Yzerman, Howe 60

Although the mullet is gone and his beard has turned grey, Jaromir Jagr’s scoring touch has yet to fade.

The man selected with the 5th overall pick by the Pittsburg Penguins in the 1990 NHL draft has continued his climb up the NHL scoring records book. The New Jersey Devils’ star was able to move up two separate lists with one shot Wednesday night. In Wednesday’s game against the Ottawa Senators, Jagr was able to find the back of the net for the eventual game winner early in the second period.

The goal was the 122nd game wining goal of Jagr’s storied career placing him one ahead of Gordie Howe for first on the all time game-winning goals list. In addition, the goal was the 693rd of his career placing him in sole possession of eight place on the NHL’s all-time goals list passing Steve Yzerman. Jagr will not have to wait too long to achieve next milestone as his next goal will tie him with Mark Messier for seventh on the all-time list.
