Having not won a home game since October 24, and down 2-1 in the third period tonight to the Anaheim Ducks, it was looking like another bad day at the American Airlines Center for the Dallas Stars. That was, until center Cody Eakin scored off the rush on a pass from winger Erik Cole to tie it at 2-2 5:25 into the final frame. 25 seconds later, defenseman Stephane Robidas snapped it past Ducks goalie Jonas Hiller to give the Stars their first lead of the night at 3-2.
28 seconds later, in what was probably the highlight of the night, winger Ryan Garbutt blazed down the ice, racing past Anaheim defender Cam Fowler to collect a loose puck and roof it past Hiller to give Dallas a permanent lead at 4-2. The Stars would go on to win 6-3 thanks to five scores in the third period, highlighted by their ridiculous trio of tallies in under a minute.
