There’s been plenty of speculation that WR Greg Jennings will not be back next season with the Green Bay Packers after their playoff loss to the eventual NFC Champion, the San Francisco 49ers. Jennings himself said he was unsure whether he’d be back with the Pack, and he recently put his house in Wisconsin up for sale at a price tag of $525,000. It looks like a certainty now more than ever that Jennings’ days in Green Bay are done.
Given the rapid rise of Jordy Nelson and Randall Cobb at the receiver position in Green Bay, it makes sense for the Packers to let Jennings sign elsewhere. He’s been Aaron Rodgers’ favorite target overall, but the other guys have proven they can carry the load without Jennings. However, if he can stay healthy there’s plenty of teams in the league that could use Jennings’ services. With his house now up for sale (which he bought in 2006), the speculation will now turn to where Jennings is going rather than if he is staying in Green Bay.
