Western Conference head coach, Gregg Popovich dropped some F-Bombs at Dwight Howard’s direction during the all-star game
The once jovial Dwight Howard has been portrayed as a polarizing prima donna the last 18 months of his NBA career. With the trade deadline looming it seems like it isn’t going to get any easier for the Lakers’ center. The reports from the NBA All-Star Game didn’t help Dwight’s cause either as he was reportedly imitating Kobe Bryant in front of the Western Conference All-Stars.
The newest allegation comes from ESPN New York 98.7 FM’s Stephen A. Smith, who said on the Mike and Mike morning ESPN show, that Western Conference All-Star coach, Gregg Popovich was disgusted with Dwight Howard.
“Coach Gregg Popovich, dropped a few F-bombs in Dwight Howard’s direction during all-star break. Now why is that guys? Because during the timeout, Gregg Popovich drew up a play according to my sources, for Dwight Howard in the game. Except, when it was time to run the play Dwight Howard wasn’t in the game, wasn’t paying attention, was on the bench in his warm ups chilling out socializing with folks. And, Gregg Popovich went ballistic and basically was cussing at him according to numerous people who I spoke to since this weekend.”
It almost seems as if the Los Angeles Lakers should call it quits with the Dwight Howard experiment and move on while you can still get something for him. If you don’t trade Howard now, you run the risk of losing him and not getting back anything come this offseason. Stay tune…
