Chris Bosh agrees to five-year deal with Heat 0

In what is probably the second most shocking new of NBA Free Agency, Chris Bosh, has reportedly decided to forgo a four-year, $88 million deal with the Houston Rockets, to remain in South Beach, with the Miami Heat.

The reported deal is five-years and worth $118 million. With LeBron James heading back to Cleveland, it appears as if Chris Bosh has become the Heat’s centerpiece.

This Summer has already been odd enough. Bosh is apparently dedicated to the Heat, as teaming up with James Harden and Dwight Howard in Bosh’s home state of Texas seemed like the more appealing option. I guess loyalty often trumps a match that seems to be perfect.

The next move for Miami will likely be that of a new deal for shooting guard, Dwyane Wade. Nobody is real sure of what type of deal Wade will be looking for, or what the Heat will be willing to give the aging guard from Marquette.

While the Rockets seemed to be the better landing spot for Bosh, the Heat still have Pat Riley pulling the strings, and are expected to make some moves to shore up their roster before next season.

I personally can’t wait to see Bosh used as more than simply a jumper shooter. Bring back the old Bosh!
