Recently, rapper, The Game, claimed to have made a bet with NBA MVP, Kevin Durant. The bet was simple. The Game had to drain a jumpshot from NBA range, and Durant would donate $20,000 to the Frogg All Stars, which is a youth bball team that The Game sponsors.
The Game posted this video on Instagram. You notice that there are no real NBA lines on the tennis court, but The Game seems to be shooting from satisfactory range, as KD, James Harden, and Drake all watch from the side. The Game nails the shot with ease.
Of course, this video doesn’t include any audio of the actual bet being made, but The Game claims that was the nature of the shot. TMZ hunted down Durant to ask him about the bet, and Durant claims The Game “is lying”. Now The Game is slighted and went on a glorious Instagram rant.
This is what The Game had to say along with the picture above.
Now why @easymoneysniper frontin on the kids homie ?!?!?!? We clearly said….. “If I made the 3 from NBA range you’d supply the entire @froggallstars program with brand new Kevin Durant shoes”…… 120 kids, close to $200 a shoe equals about $20,000….. How am I lying ???? Just say you a sore loser & you ain’t wanna help the kids…. It ain’t that they need it cause I bought all 120 kids Lebrons out my own pocket as you can see on their Instagram.. But I thought it would be kool for them to meet you & be able to ball in your shoes especially since they look up to you & I made the shot as WE AGREED… @champagnepapi was right there, so was @jharden13@trim_skit & @Demar_Derozan But don’t sweat it champ, we’ll still support you & I’ll go buy them myself just cause they mean that much to me….. 1 love – The Game #FroggAllstars#NikeBasketball#iGotTheKids#itsTooHardForSomePeopleToKeepIt100#MyOldestSonsFavoritePlayer#WhyWouldILieAboutSomethingThatsForTheKids#WhatDidiHaveToGain#PeopleHeardWhatWasSaid#AintImportantTho#NoLoveLost#illTellThemTheShoesCameFromYouAnyway#TheyWontKnowTheDifference#SadThingIsTheyreYourShoesAndItWouldntveCostYouADimeToGetThemForTheKids@TMZ
Yo, KD… pay up. Even if The Game is exaggerating, still pay up. The Los Angeles based rapper does not play well with others, especially when you’ve earned a little check in his book of People’s Asses I Must Kick. Just ask 40 Glocc.
WARNING: There is some content in this video that may not be suitable for children. The Game records himself beating up 40 Glocc.
