The Kentucky Wildcats have made an improbable run to the NCAA championship game, as they are prepared to take on the similarly improbable finalist UConn Huskies later tonight for the title. The Wildcats success could definitely be contributed to the emergence of numerous freshmen, including Julius Randle, and the Harrison twins. However, it was master recruiter and head coach John Calipari who got these kids together playing at high level just in time. However, Rex Chapman, a former Kentucky star, is reporting that win or lose tonight, Calipari is taking his show to the NBA, specifically to Hollywood:

Calipari has already tried and failed at the NBA level with the then New Jersey Nets, but has always seemed to want to give it a second chance. Similarly, the Lakers are always looking to make a splash, and their relationship with Mike D’Antoni has been on the rocky side for a while now…just ask Pau Gasol…and Chris Kaman… and Kobe Bry– you get the point.
It seems like a good match for both parties, and you can fully expect Julius Randle to join LA if he is available with the Lakers inevitable high draft pick and Calipari is at the helm.
