J.R. Smith Arrested In Miami Beach

J.R. Smith may need more than the mid level exception the Knicks can offer him after reports surfaced of him being broke and now arrested. The maligned swing man is no stranger to controversy. From brawls to tweeting half-naked pictures, Smith showed again why he often lets his immaturity get the best of him.

According to NBC Miami:

“New York Knicks Guard J.R. Smith was arrested in Miami Beach Thursday night on a warrant for no valid driver’s license, jail records showed.”

“The 26-year-old, whose real name is Earl Joseph Smith, was arrested around 9 p.m., Miami Beach Police spokesman Sgt. Bobby Hernandez said.”

“Smith was booked into jail just before midnight, records showed. He later bonded out.”

“The details of the warrant were unknown.”
