James Harden looks off wide open teammate at end of the game that could have won it

James Harden had an epic Game 2 performance in a loss against the Golden State Warriors Thursday night. The Beard had a crazy state line of 38 points 10 boards and 9 assists that unfortunately wasn’t enough for the Houston Rockets as the Dubs would prevail in a one-point victory.

However, Harden had a chance to make that stat line a triple-double and a win for the Rockets had he made a snap pass to a wide open Terrence Jones streaking down the middle of the lane instead of looking him off.

WATCH:

It’s hard to criticize Harden here, but it seems like he should have at least been cognizant of a streaking player. Does LeBron James or Stephen Curry make this pass? I think so.

To be fair to Harden, the play was a bang-bang play and in that situation there is no way any other Rocket is taking the last shot. But had he made the pass,
