Kings already trying to trade the No. 8 pick
Just a day after the NBA draft lottery, the Sacramento Kings have already put the 8th pick on the trading block. The Kings are looking to add at least one contributing veteran to the mix among other things following a 28-54 finish this season. Sacramento will also be looking to add an impact defender and a reliable perimeter shooter. The Kings don’t want to wait to develop another rookie, but will instead look to add pieces that could get them closer to the playoffs in 2014. However, the Kings aren’t the only team that will be wheeling and dealing before the June 26th draft, as the draft class is quite deep with several interesting prospects. The Kings could keep their 8th pick and go point guard, depending on whether or not Isaiah Thomas returns, as he is currently a restricted free agent. It is unclear if the Kings have a specific target, but one would assume they do, given the haste in which they put their lottery pick on the trading block.
