If a Durant-Kobe matchup in the second round wasn’t enough for you to keep your eyes glued on the Thunder-Lakers second round series, Metta World Peace’s comments certainly will change your mind. In just his first game back from a 7 game suspension for his flagrant foul on Thunder guard James Harden Metta has stated he has no intent on apologizing.
“I don’t shake substitutes’ hands,” World Peace said after the Lakers Game 7
But given his following statement it seem to be anything malicious in his previous comments. “My concern is executing the coaches’ game plan and that’s what my concern is.”
Metta seems to have his eye on knocking off the Thunder and not what story we the media are going to make out of this. While he will get some gripe for his comments from many fans, I must say I admire his focus and determination to help the Los Angeles Lakers win another NBA Championship.
