In honor of Veterans Day and America’s Armed Forces, Connecticut and No. 14 Michigan State will wear camouflage jerseys this coming Friday, in an early season college basketball matchup.
The teams will play the Armed Forces Classic, which will be hosted at Ramstein Air Force Base in Ramstein, Germany. The camo jerseys will be accompanied by shorts, shoes, socks, and even shoelaces coated in camouflage, all made by Nike.
It’s a great way for the players to get a taste of a different style of jersey but more importantly to honor the men and women who serve the country every year for everyone to see on national television. Here’s Michigan State’s take on the uniforms, from players and head coach Tom Izzo.
