As the young Boston Celtics end the regular season and get ready for the postseason, questions will start to be asked about whether this team is ready for the increased intensity that comes with playoff basketball. And while they’re a few players throughout the rotation of the Celtics that have playoff experience, their young core of Marcus Smart, Jared Sullinger, Tyler Zeller, Isaiah Thomas and Kelly Olynyk have never sniffed the postseason.

One of the few regulars in the rotation of the Celtics that has playoff experience is do-it-all swingman Evan Turner. The former number-two overall first-round pick has played in the postseason while a member of the Sixers and Pacers over his five-year career. This was probably why Turner, who is also one of the few Celtics who has been in Boston all season, was asked about how he feels rookie point guard Marcus Smart will handle the intensity that comes with playing in the NBA postseason.

The response was great!

Turner wasn’t creating drama when he poked fun at Smart’s intensity so no need to panic Celtics fans.
