Knicks beat writer Frank Isola is no stranger to speaking his mind. In fact, most of the time Isola rips someone, its sheer amusement for all 51,000 of his Twitter followers. So when Isola caught wind of Tim Duncan training Indiana Pacers center Roy Hibbert for free, he immediately blasted legend, Hakeem Olajuwon.
Roy Hibbert went to Texas this summer to train with a legend….But unlike Hakeem, Tim Duncan didn’t charge $100,000. He did it for free.

Tim Duncan’s generosity could damage Hakeem’s business model. And besides not ripping off players, Duncan also doesn’t seek publicity.

Of course, Tim Duncan can’t teach the “Dream Shake” in five easy steps. For $50,000 to $100,000 that’s what Hakeem can do for you.

Isola has a point, but if players are continuing to go to him, then why shouldn’t he try to turn it into a business? The best thing to do when having a business would be to seek publicity right? Players like LeBron James, Dwight Howard, Amar’e Stoudemire that have gone to Hakeem for help aren’t hurting for money, so I don’t blame The Dream for trying to make it into a business.
Isola continued tweeting on the subject as he brought up LeBron and how much he’ll eventually charge players to come learn from him. Of course being sarcastic, Isola already picked out a name for LeBron’s school when he opens it up for players.
How much is LeBron going to charge to NBA players to study at his “Become Awesome at Everything” school?
