Earlier this summer, Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Riley Cooper was caught on camera calling other people the N-word during a Kenny Chesney concert. The NFL responded to the viral video by not suspending Cooper and the Eagles chose to fine him. Cooper also took some time off from the team to receive some counseling.
Today, it looks like Cooper is getting into more trouble with the Eagles.
According to Jeff McLane of Philly.com, Riley Cooper and corner back Cary Williams got into a fight today, that required several players to break it up. Williams had to be forcibly pulled away from Cooper and then took time to himself on another practice field.
McLane adds, “Cooper looked visibly distraught and stayed out of one-on-one drills that involved receivers and defensive backs until DeSean Jackson came over to him. Jackson eventually walked over to Williams and had a conversation.”
Cary Williams was one of the players who was public about having a problem with what Cooper said during the concert but was willing to welcome Cooper back to the team.
It appears that Williams and Cooper still have problems with one another and those problems spilled over onto the field today.
