When we last saw former NFL running back Larry Johnson in 2011, he was signing with the Miami Dolphins. Johnson was on the team’s roster for only twelve days before he was cut and then re-signed with the Dolphins five days later and was once again cut only ten days later. Johnson attempted only 1 carry for the Dolphins for 2 yards.
While Johnson’s career may have ended while attempting only 1 carry, he will be best known for his two legendary seasons in Kansas City during the 2005 and 2006 seasons. During those two seasons, Johnson ran for 3,539 yards and 37 rushing touchdowns. He also added 753 receiving yards and 3 receiving touchdowns. Larry Johnson was the fantasy football stud when fantasy football was in its infancy.
Johnson still holds the Kansas City Chiefs records for most rushing attempts (1,375) and most rushing yards in a single season (1,789).
So, after such a great NFL career, what is the former Chiefs running back doing with his time?
While Johnson is not the main DJ he has been spotted on more than one occasion entering the booth to guest DJ. Management would not comment to TMZ on whether or not Larry Johnson does step in for a quick set or two.
Johnson seems to know how to enjoy his retirement and hopefully he has a great DJ name.
