Antonio Brown’s Front Flip into the end zone has been the talk of the sport’s world all week. It’s hard not to be in awe of the athletic talents of Brown. He is not only an amazing wide receiver, set to have another record-breaking year, apparently he is an amazing gymnast as well. If the 56-yard touchdown itself wasn’t enough to impress fans, players, and coaches all around the NFL, that perfectly landed end zone front flip sure was.
Although many players and even coach Tomlin were impressed that Brown was able to “stick that landing perfectly”, Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger had some words for Brown and he talked about what he said to him during his weekly radio interview on Tuesday:
“You know, he gets caught up in the moment. I said listen, ‘if you get hurt, was it worth it? Whether it’s career ending or season ending, was it worth it?’ And he is so apologetic about it. He’s like, ‘No, I’m so sorry.’ I told him, “AB, that was probably one of the most athletic things I’ve ever seen anybody do, that was so impressive, don’t ever do it again.”
That’s all Antonio Brown needed to hear to know that although what he did was amazing, it was also very risky. Steelers Nation would hate to lose their best wide receiver to an injury caused by doing something like that in the spur of the moment. So don’t expect to see Antonio Brown do any more end zone flips, although you may still see him hurdle over obstacles (players) as we have seen him do in the past., hopefully missing their face the next time!
