The NFL S outing Combine is in full swing with football players from all over the country competing in feats of athleticism to try and impress NFL teams enough for them to take a shot on them in May’s NFL Draft.
Current Tennessee Titan’s running back Chris Johnson is the current record holder for the 40-yard dash at the NFL Scouting Combine. Johnson ran the distance with a time of 4.24 seconds back in 2008.
Ever since he set the record, it’s been a goal of many of the participants at the Combine to try and break the record. Some have come close, but none have beaten it. Johnson knows that players want to break the record, and he has a message for them.
Just texted Chris Johnson – he says “best of luck” to these guys coming after his 4.24 from 2008. #NFLCombine

It’s a record that may take some time to break. It’s held for the past six years.
Chris Johnson is expected to be released from the Titans in the next few weeks. He has failed to produce at a consistent level since signing a four-year, $53 million extension in 2011 after rushing for 2,006 yards in 2010. Johnson’s 2013 season was just as disappointing, he rushed for 1,077 yards and six touchdowns.
