The Baltimore Ravens front office, unlike their players, have been very quiet this off-season. Despite numerous players making the news for non football related issues, the team hasn’t been many moves via free agency.
Well today that changed as the Ravens agreed to terms with former Houston Texans tight end Owen Daniels. Here is the report from John McClain of Sports Radio 610 in Houston:
TE Owen Daniels agrees with Ravens and will be reunited with his Texans coaches. Good move for him and them.

With the signing of Daniels, you can be sure that Baltimore will use many sets involving two tight ends as the team already has Dennis Pitta. This move reunites offensive coordinator Gary Kubiak with one of his former weapons. Daniels will also likely help with teaching Kubiak’s new system and will be a security blanket for Joe Flacco when he’s in the game.
Terms of this deal haven’t been released, however it is likely a short term, low cost move for the Ravens.
