Top NFL prospect Jadeveon Clowney held his Pro Day today and he had some choice words when asked what would happen if the Houston Texans, who hold the #1 overall pick, were to pass on him come draft day. Per Bryan Fischer of NFL.com, He did not mince words with his response:
I’ll make them miserable.
The Texans have not tipped their hand when it comes to who they are going to take with the top pick in the 2014 draft. New Texans head coach Bill O’Brien has been tight-lipped on who he’d like to have on his roster next season. Regarding the possibility of drafting Clowney, O’Brien had this to say (via the Texans official website):
If we decide to draft this guy, we’re not just going to play him at one position. We may start him off at one position but use him in a lot of different ways. He’s a unique talent, but again, that’s if we draft him.
At the NFL Combine this year, Clowney checked in at 6’5″, 266 lbs, 34 ½” arm length, 10″ hands, and a whopping 83-inch wingspan. Clowney finished his college career at the University of South Carolina with 130 tackles (47 for a loss) and 24 sacks, including 13 in 2012.
