The Jacksonville Jaguars are going to let Maurice Jones-Drew test free agency come March and then decide whether or not to re-sign their 8 year veteran back.
Jones-Drew is coming off of a down year where he was only able to gain 803 yards on the ground with 5 scores and says he wants to remain with the team and finish his career in Jacksonville, but like most decisions in the NFL, it all comes down to money.
General manager Jim Caldwell insisted that the second-leading rusher in franchise history wouldn’t be re-signed until he received an offer from another team and they would then decide whether to match it or let him go.
