The Giants are 0-4, and things are starting to look very bad for the outlook on the 2013 season. They haven’t been competitive one bit, an odd sighting from a football team coached by Tom Coughlin – one of the more old school, hard-nosed coaches in the game.
Coughlin has a string of support, but it doesn’t take long to knock the wind out of the sails when the team has been playing like they have. There’s not one team out there scared of the Giants, and eventually players will lose interest and start getting ready for next season if this continues.
Justin Tuck is not one of those guys, and if he finds out that anyone turns on coach Coughlin, they’ll be meeting his curled up fist – right to the dome.
“If anyone turns on our coach, I would be the first one to punch him in the mouth. It better not happen, I know that,” said Tuck, via ESPN “And put that in print. It better not happen, I know that.” He continued.
The Giants are 0-4 for the first time since 1979 and have been blown out in all but one game. Eli Manning leads the NFL in turnovers this season, and has the most turnovers since 2010 by any player in the league.
The team is two years removed from winning a Super Bowl, a year in which a slow start led to rumblings of Tom Coughlin getting fired. The same rumblings started when they won their first Super Bowl under Coughlin. Maybe it’s time to start the rumors that Coughlin is on his way out, that should turn things around…
