According to a survey of NFL players, Tom Brady is the quarterback they want most with the game, and championship, on the line.
Of the 320 players surveyed by a recent anonymous poll from ESPN.com, 128 of them (fourty percent) said that they would want Tom Brady at quarterback with two minutes left in the Super Bowl. Brady, Peyton Manning (86), Aaron Rodgers (32), Drew Brees (21), Ben Roethlisberger (20) and Eli Manning (9) received the most votes.
Patriots tight end Michael Hoomanawanui explained why he believes the players selected Brady:
“Obviously, the fact that he’s done it time and time before helps out a lot, too. That’s pretty much the way he goes out and plays each and every snap.
“But when it comes down to those two-minute situations, he takes it to another level. That’s why he’s the man.”
