Today’s Ravens/Broncos AFC Showdown was arguably the best game of the season. It was back and forth all game, and was sealed in Overtime by a Justin Tucker field goal.
It sent the one-seed Broncos packing, and continued the legacy of Ray Lewis who says he is retiring at the end of the season.
It was the first season the Broncos had Peyton Manning, and it was a remarkable season for the long-time pro. He was disappointed after the loss, and even declined a post-game interview on field after the field goal sailed through the uprights.
After his post-game press conference, Manning cleaned up and stuck around Sports Authority Field with his family to personally congratulate Ray Lewis on the win.
It was a great gesture from Manning and his family, he was visibly upset after the loss, as any player is after they lose in the Playoffs – but a great Sportsman in himself to stick around for hours to send Ray Lewis off with his best wishes.
Manning is a class act, and he’ll look to lead the Broncos on a successful run next season.
