The Philadelphia Eagles appear to be a remarkably efficient organization; so efficient, they issued Pro Bowl guard an amazing signing bonus, which he put a picture of out on his Instagram account. Seen above, Mathis captioned it with this:
Hell yeah, just got my signing bonus.
Mathis has consistently been rated as one of the top guards in the league, and the Eagles ensured he received his signing bonus on time. However, Mathis already received his $5 million signing bonus in 2012 when he signed a five-year, $25.5 million contract with the team. The Eagles accounting office obviously automatically kicked out the check; fans can only wonder if Mathis made this face when he got the check though:
