Oakland Raiders linebacker Rolando McClain is in the headlines for being arrested again. For the second time over the past two years, McClain has been arrested in his hometown of Decatur, Alabama. In 2011, McClain was arrested in Decatur for firing a gun next to a man’s head. He was sentenced to 180 days in jail.
Tuesday, the Associated Press is reporting that McClain was arrested following a traffic incident in which he lied about his identity.
McClain, 23, was initially pulled over due to a tint violation. Authorities said he provided a false name after being prompted to sign a traffic ticket. He attempted to convince the arresting officer of his identity before being taken into custody. He was later released after posting a $1,000 bond.
Earlier this season, McClain was suspended for two games after being kicked out of practice because he was arguing with coach Dennis Allen.
This second arrest will make most question whether or not McClain will be back with the Oakland Raiders in 2013.
It seems likely that the team will cut McClain this off-season and based on his past, this might be the end of his NFL career.
