There were a lot of rumors that the Giants would end up firing their legendary head coach Tom Coughlin after a very disappointing season and missing the playoffs in back to back seasons after winning the Super Bowl. Well it looks like Coughlin is going to hang around for another year as he agreed to a one-year extension with the New York Giants.

Coughlin told reporters at the Scouting Combine that he had agreed to a one-year contact extension, giving him another shot with the Giants.

Coughlin is 67 years old currently so this might be hinting that next season might be his last season ever coaching.

Coughlin said “never a concern to me.” Probably indicating the rumors of him getting fired was not concern at all to the 2 time super bowl winning coach.

The Giants will always be super bowl contenders as long as they have Eli Manning and their dominate Defensive line. I expect the Giants to make a run next season.

Again it’s more than likely that Tom Coughlin is going to retire after next season. May it end very well for the legendary head coach. He is without a doubt a future hall of famer.
