Around America, football makes people do some crazy things. Whether that is attending a football game in subzero temperatures or racing home from our jobs in order to make sure we catch kickoff of our favorite team’s game. But, what happens when you are a pastor and your job requires you to work every Sunday and often past the start of the early games? Well, if you are like Tim Christensen of Gold Hill Lutheran Church in Butte, Montana, you give the quickest sermon of your life so you can catch the start of your favorite team’s game.
Christensen, who is a 49ers fan, gave an abbreviated version of his sermon so he could catch the start of the team’s game. Christensen even managed to rip open his robe in order to show off his 49ers shirt before leaving.
