Monday night’s preseason game between the Washington Redskins and Cleveland Browns was quite exciting for a meaningless one. While Johnny Manziel only made headlines for flipping the bird to the ‘Skins’ bench, a guy no one seems to be talking about played the best at quarterback for Cleveland.
Connor Shaw was the most consistent out of Manziel, himself, and Brian Hoyer – albeit against the third string defense. With the Browns trailing by seven, Shaw threw a Hail Mary that was answered when Emmanuel Ogbuehi caught the touchdown as time expired. The celebration was short lived, however, as Cleveland failed the on the two-point conversion, giving Washington the 24-23 victory.
