NFL Week 7: Peyton Manning returns to Indianapolis
Can you believe we are already going on week seven of the NFL season? And one of the most anticipated games of the year will take place at Lucas Oil Stadium, otherwise known as Peyton Manning’s old stomping grounds Sunday night. That’s right, the Denver Broncos travel to Indianapolis to take on the Colts where Manning played the bulk of his career setting numerous records. The game has all the makings for a shoot-out between Manning and Andrew Luck as the over/under score is set at 56 points according to 888sport.com.
The game will be televised on NBC and starts at 8:30 PM ET. The question will be whether Manning will be able to put aside his emotions and adrenalin early on and continue his early season dominance. Manning is off to to an unbelievable start this season with 22 touchdowns versus just two interceptions. Luck doesn’t have the numbers Manning has, but instead has his Colts off to a 4-1 start before tonight’s tilt at the San Diego Chargers. So potentially we, the viewers, could see the 5-1 Colts take on the 6-0 Broncos to further higher the stakes.
With the high powered Broncos offense, look for both teams to top the over of 56 points. The Broncos have yet to score under 35 points in any game, and have scored 50 plus points already twice this season. The Colts will have to put up points to have a chance to hang with the Broncos so expect another high scoring affair. Prediction: Broncos 45 Colts 42.
