No. 1 Duke Heads To No. 21 NC State in Headliner of NCAA Basketball Weekend

There are a handful of big games to consider for your weekend NCAA basketball picks, but one tilt tops the list—a Tobacco Road battle featuring No. 1 Duke at No. 21 North Carolina State on Saturday.
Perhaps also worthy of equal billing on the weekend menu is No. 10 Minnesota traveling to take on No. 5 Indiana in a Big 10 matchup.
Duke has won its first two ACC—versus Wake Forest over the weekend and Clemson on Tuesday—to start the season a perfect 15-0. North Carolina State was ranked as a Top 5 team in most polls at the start of the season, but saw its status drop with a couple of early season losses. With that said, the Wold Pack are deep and talented and also off to a 2-0 on its ACC schedule following wins against Boston College and Georgia Tech.
The well-balanced Wolf Pack are led by three quality players—forward C.J. Leslie (15.6 PPG, 7.3 RPG), guard Lorenzo Brown (13.1 PPG, 6.7 APG) and forward Richard Howell (12.7 PPG, 9.7 RPG).
Duke is paced by the attributes of 6’10” forward Mason Plumlee, who averages 17.7 points and 11.4 rebounds a game to lead the Blue Devils in both categories.
