WATCH: Marcus Foligno scores airborne goal against Columbus

  • Tad Johnson

The Buffalo Sabres have seen great contributions from their young players through two preseason games. On Sunday, 2012 first-rounders Zemgus Girgensons and Mikhail Grigorenko led the way, as Girgensons’ two goals and Grigorenko’s shootout winner helped the Sabres over the Montreal Canadiens 5-4.

On Tuesday night, Marcus Foligno scored two goals for the Sabres in a 3-1 victory over Columbus. His second goal was quite remarkable, and definitely deserves to be played on the morning highlight reels. Foligno forced a turnover deep in Columbus territory and then made an awesome play to cross the net and put the puck past Sergei Bobrovsky. Check it out.
