Jack Capuano Will Return Next Season as Islanders Head Coach
If Jack Capuano was worried about his job security, he got some reassuring news from Islanders owner Garth Snow this week.
Snow told Arthur Staple of Newsday that Capuano will return next season for the Islanders. The Islanders are currently 34-37-11 and are holding firm to last place in the Metropolitan Division.

Just one year removed from their first playoff appearance since 2007, the Isles took a step backwards this year just as it appeared they were turning the corner from one of the worst franchises in the NHL.
In situations like this across all sports, the coach is usually the one who takes the blame for a regression such as this. However, Garth Snow is choosing to put the blame on other things (maybe the injury to John Tavares) rather than on his head coach.
In four years with the Islanders, Capuano has accumulated a 118-120-39 record.
