Lions to host Bills on Thanksgiving?
Not a whole lot is known about the 2014 NFL schedule as it has not been released yet, but, thanks to the Bills’ official website, it appears the Lions will be hosting the Bills on Thanksgiving Day.
The team put out a list of the “13 things to know about 2014 opponents” and it seems as though number eight on the list confirms the two teams will meet in Detroit on Thanksgiving.
Buffalo and Detroit will meet for the 10th time in the regular season in 2014. The Bills have played in eight previous Thanksgiving Day games (4-4) in team history with their last appearance on Turkey Day coming in 1994.
This may not be a huge shocker, as it is known the Lions will face two AFC team in the upcoming season: The Bills and the Dolphins.
Keep in mind, though, this has yet to be confirmed by the NFL, but in the event that these two meet, it would mark the first game back in the Motor City for Bills’ defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz since being fired by the Lions in 2013. Schwartz coached the Lions in five Thanksgiving Day games from 2009-2013.
